Covid-19 has greatly reduced our ability and that of everyone's ability to hold public events. We are looking forward to when our country will be back to 'normal'.

Paddle & Pour is a Town of Pittsford, NY event and includes races on the Erie Canal where the town is located. This is one of two fundraisers Pittsford American Legion Rayson-Miller Post 899 participates in and where Teens for Veterans volunteers to help them out.
Every December Pittsford, NY celebrates its annual Candlelight Night. Pittsford’s Village streets are filled with holiday cheer, the sounds of live music, carolers and sleigh bells. Holiday lights twinkle in the night as businesses light their candles to signify the start of the holiday season. It is the perfect night for shopping and dining at our local establishments, or at the food trucks around the Village. Enjoy holiday treats provided by area businesses!
Rayson-Miller Post 899 offers a variety of goodies: chili, mulled cider, and more for the community!

Veterans Day is a very special day where we are able to honor all veterans. Rayson-Miller Post 899 holds a Veterans Day Ceremony every year on 11th month, the 11th day at the 11th hour. This ceremony takes place at the Pittsford Veterans Memorial across the street from the Post home. After the ceremony, a reception is held at the Post home and is open to everyone.
Each year the Town of Pittsford NY puts on an all day and into the evening, Food Truck & Music Festival down Main Street in the town of Pittsford. Food truck vendors offer their delicious fare and artists perform for the public. A fun event for all ages. Rayson-Miller Post 899 sets up their food tents and offers such items as Italian sausages with peppers and onions, hots and hamburgers and of course a variety of beverages. Teens for Veterans help with setting up, serving and tearing down after the event.
Paddle & Pour is the event that leads up to Memorial Day in the Town of Pittsford, NY. This event features great live music and an opportunity to try tastings from local wineries and a variety of foods are offered. Our veterans from Post 899 provide their offerings at their food tent and we help setup, serve and tear down. A lot of work, but a lot of fun and a chance to meet the community! The Pittsford Regatta is held during Paddle and Pour. The Erie Canal Path is a great place to view the Pittsford Regatta competition.

The Memorial Day Ceremony has always been a large event in the Town of Pittsford. It begins with a parade that runs through the town and ends at the Pittsford cemetery where a solomn ceremony honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrafice are honored. After the ceremony the Rayson-Miller American Legion Post 899 hosts a reception at the post home.
